Hip and Joint Pain

The hip joints can be especially prone to an array of medical issues. If you are experiencing frequent hip pain that is interfering with enjoying your activities, don’t hesitate to seek the help of Dr. Fujii and our other team members here at Premier Podiatry & Orthopedics.

Common Hip Conditions

We are dedicated to providing the most advanced knowledge, equipment, and techniques toward treating a wide range of hip conditions in our patients. Some of the more common hip problems we treat include:

  • Hip Stiffness or Hip Joint Pain
  • Hip Fractures
  • Acute Tendinitis of the Hip
  • Arthritis of the Hip (including Osteoarthritis)
  • Bursitis of the Hip
  • Difficulty Walking (Related to Hip Trouble)
  • A Continuous “Snapping” Sensation in the Hip

Hip Pain Treatment Options

The exact course of treatment we recommend will depend on many factors, including the source of the problem, the needs and goals of each patient, and other associated issues.

Our hope is always that we will be able to resolve the problem without surgical intervention, but it is important for you to understand that surgery may be necessary. It does tend to be required more often than not, but we will still avoid it if at all possible.

With all of that in mind, your personal treatment recommendations may incorporate any of the following:

  • Hip Arthroscopy and Minimally-Invasive Hip Surgery
  • Hip Fracture Repair
  • Bursitis Surgery
  • Osteotomy
  • Revision Hip Surgery
  • Total Hip Replacement
  • Outpatient Physical Therapy
  • Pain Management

Whenever possible, we use minimally invasive surgical procedures to shorten hospital stays, accelerate post-surgical recovery, and reduce any associated risks of complications. We might also suggest treatments including Class IV Laser Therapy to further aid recovery.

Quality and Compassionate Hip Care

In many cases, patients come to us suffering from debilitating hip pain. Their discomfort affects their mobility and erodes their ability to perform even daily activities (to say nothing of the activities they love doing most). Just walking around can become difficult.

Times of activity are not always the only concern. Hip pain and problems can also occur during periods of rest – such as when you’re trying to sleep at night.

It is always understandable to wonder whether surgery may be necessary to resolve your problem. You never have to hesitate to ask us about this possibility, and what alternatives might be available to you if desired. We are here to answer any and all questions you have.

In the event that surgery does turn out to be the best course of action, you will be treated by an experienced, skilled surgeon who has greatly helped many patients before you who have experienced the same symptoms.
