Dr. Nuvpreet Bhandal serves patients as an orthopedic surgeon and a sports medicine specialist.
Dr. Bhandal graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine in 2015 through a highly competitive 6-year undergraduate/medical school program. He went on to complete an orthopedic surgery residency at Cleveland Clinic Akron General and a sports medicine fellowship at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.
Outside of hospital work, Dr. Bhandal has lent his sports medicine expertise to teams at all levels, including Akron Public School and Scarsdale High school, at the collegiate level with Manhattanville College and professionally with the New York Jets and New York Islanders. Whatever a patient’s need, Dr. Bhandal believes in making them a full part of the process. The best care comes when both doctor and patient freely communicate and fully understand what each expects from treatment.
During his time off Dr. Bhandal likes to travel with his wife and visit family around the world. He enjoys weight lifting, being outdoors, and exercising to stay fit. As an avid sports fan, he loves playing basketball, soccer, and most of all golf. Coming from the windy city, Dr. Bhandal stays true to his roots and cheers for the Cubs, Blackhawks, Bears, and Bulls.
